The strategic acquisition includes 2,016 units of NVIDIA's next-generation Vera Rubin architecture alongside 7,688 units of the Blackwell 300 series. By integrating these high-performance compute clusters, South Korea expects to exceed its baseline computational targets by roughly thirty percent, laying the groundwork for sovereign AI foundation models, industrial digitization, and cutting-edge academic research.
Beyond server deployment, the strategic partnership extends deep into the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem. Leading memory chipmakers such as SK Hynix are strengthening collaborative development with NVIDIA to engineer next-generation High Bandwidth Memory. This synergy aims to drastically accelerate semiconductor design iterations, advance extreme ultraviolet lithography workflows, and optimize high-volume fabrication processes.
