Texas-based robotics innovator Apptronik has announced a massive 520 million dollars Series A extension funding round. This significant capital injection is set to accelerate the mass production, commercialization, and global deployment of their flagship humanoid robot, Apollo. Standing approximately 173 centimeters tall and capable of carrying loads up to 25 kilograms, Apollo is designed to work alongside humans in industrial environments.
Since its founding in 2016, Apptronik has grown into a powerhouse with a workforce of 300 experts. The company is currently conducting pilot programs with industry giants such as Mercedes-Benz, GXO Logistics, and Jabil to refine Apollo’s capabilities in real-world scenarios. Furthermore, a strategic collaboration with Google DeepMind is underway to push the boundaries of next-generation humanoid intelligence. While the initial focus remains on manufacturing and logistics, Apptronik envisions a future where Apollo assists in retail, healthcare, and eventually within our homes.
