By leveraging its unique competitive advantage as an integrated provider that covers everything from lithium-ion battery cells and modules to total power systems, the company is actively expanding its supply system and accelerating the development of next-generation solutions.
Modern data centers require highly reliable backup solutions to prevent catastrophic downtime. Panasonic Energy offers battery backup units equipped with high-density lithium-ion batteries, as well as capacitor backup units utilizing advanced supercapacitors. These technologies do not merely provide emergency backup power during outages; they also absorb rapid power load fluctuations and dramatically improve overall energy efficiency across server racks.
Looking ahead, Panasonic Energy has set an ambitious financial target of two trillion yen in sales and over three hundred billion yen in adjusted operating profit for fiscal year 2028. Between fiscal years 2026 and 2028, the company plans to expand sales of existing battery backup units while sequentially introducing next-generation units and specialized products for high-power server racks.
