ASML, the world leader in photolithography systems, has officially raised its full-year revenue guidance for 2026, signaling robust confidence in the semiconductor recovery cycle. The Dutch tech giant now expects total net sales to range between 36 billion and 40 billion euros, an increase from its previous forecast of 34 billion to 39 billion euros. This adjustment reflects a approximately 16 percent growth at the upper end, driven primarily by an improved outlook for Deep Ultraviolet (DUV) systems and sustained demand for Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) technology.
A significant contributor to this upgrade is the ArF immersion lithography sector. As global chipmakers accelerate capacity expansion to meet the insatiable appetite for Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure, the demand for mature and mid-range nodes remains surprisingly resilient. Specifically, ASML plans to ship at least 60 units of its low Numerical Aperture (0.33) EUV systems in 2026. Looking further ahead, the company is actively scaling its production capacity to reach a target of 80 EUV units annually by 2027 and beyond.
The semiconductor industry’s growth is increasingly solidified by long-term agreements as customers, including major foundries and memory manufacturers in South Korea and Taiwan, scramble to secure advanced equipment. Despite ongoing discussions regarding export controls, ASML’s narrowed and increased guidance suggests that the "AI-driven capex sprint" is more than offsetting geopolitical headwinds. With high-margin components within its installed base business also performing well, ASML is positioned as the fundamental "picks-and-shovels" provider for the next generation of hardware innovation.
