Samsung to Deploy AI in 400 Million Devices by 2026

At the Consumer Electronics Show 2026, Samsung Electronics unveiled an ambitious roadmap that solidifies its leadership in the artificial intelligence era. The tech giant announced that out of the 500 million devices it plans to sell in 2026—including smartphones, televisions, and home appliances—a staggering 400 million units will feature integrated AI capabilities.
The mobile division remains at the forefront of this transformation. TM Roh, President of the Mobile eXperience Business, confirmed that over 200 million smartphones will be AI powered models next year. This initiative aims to transition Samsung from a traditional hardware manufacturer into a comprehensive AI total information technology enterprise. By leveraging on device AI and cloud integration, the company seeks to revolutionize daily life through seamless innovation.
Simultaneously, the competition in the smart home sector is intensifying. LG Electronics showcased its vision for a Zero Labor Home, where AI agents manage domestic tasks autonomously. LG is focusing on transforming standard appliances into proactive AI agents that can perceive, think, and act on behalf of the user. This industry wide shift underscores a move toward highly personalized ecosystems where silicon based intelligence, such as Gallium Nitride power components and advanced Silicon Dioxide insulation in chips, enables more efficient, always on AI processing.
