BOE Technology Group, the global leader in the display panel industry, has announced its financial results for the fiscal year 2025. Facing prolonged stagnation in the global television and smartphone markets, the company demonstrated notable financial resilience. BOE achieved an annual operating revenue of 204.59 billion yuan, equivalent to approximately 4.2 trillion Japanese yen, marking a year-over-year increase of 3.13 percent. The net profit attributable to shareholders reached 5.86 billion yuan, approximately 121.7 billion Japanese yen, representing a robust 10.03 percent increase compared to the previous fiscal year.
The modest growth in total revenue reflects the macroeconomic challenges within consumer electronics. However, BOE successfully boosted its profitability by optimizing its product mix. A strategic shift toward high-margin, ultra-large display segments proved crucial, as the rising average selling price of panel sizes seventy-five inches and above offset lower margins in standard categories. Concurrently, BOE maintained its position as the world number one in shipment volume for liquid crystal display panels across five mainstream application areas: televisions, smartphones, laptop computers, tablets, and desktop monitors.
Beyond liquid crystal displays, BOE experienced steady growth in its next-generation technology portfolios. Shipments of flexible organic light emitting diodes saw a significant volume expansion, increasing by approximately eight to nine percent year-over-year. This growth was fueled by tech integration including Oxide backplanes, Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide solutions, and advanced tandem structures designed for premium mobile and IT devices.
Infrastructure expansion played a vital role in sustaining BOE's market dominance through 2025. Production capacity and advanced capabilities were bolstered by strategic investments across several key manufacturing facilities. These included equipment upgrades at the Generation Six flexible display production lines in Beijing and Chongqing, alongside early technical progress at the high-profile Generation Eight point六 AMOLED manufacturing line in Sichuan. These operational advancements have positioned BOE to maintain technological leadership as the display sector moves toward higher value ecosystems.
